Flag of Sudan
The flag of Sudan has three equal horizontal stripes of red, white and black, with a green triangle on the hoist side that points into the flag. It carries no emblem, stars or writing, and it is twice as long as it is tall. The pattern resembles several other Arab flags, but the green triangle makes it easy to tell apart.

Meaning of the flag of Sudan
The four colors are the pan-Arab colors. Red is usually explained as the struggle and sacrifice of the nation's martyrs, white as peace and optimism, black as Sudan itself, whose name comes from the Arabic for land of the black people, and green as Islam and the country's farming wealth. The design was adopted in 1970, replacing the blue, yellow and green tricolor used after independence.
