Meaning of the flag of Nepal

Crimson is the color of the rhododendron, Nepal's national flower, and a traditional color of victory, while the blue border stands for peace. The two pennants are often linked to the Himalayas or to Hinduism and Buddhism, and the moon and sun express the hope that Nepal will last as long as they do.
