World mountain ranges map
Locate selected major mountain ranges on this printable world map. Use the labeled version as a reference or download the blank version for practice.

How to read this map
A mountain range is an elongated group of mountains rather than a single summit. The colored areas indicate selected range regions in Natural Earth’s physical geography dataset; they are approximate landform extents, not precise elevation contours.
Mountain belts can extend across countries and sometimes across continents. Use the physical world map to compare these range regions with shaded terrain, and the country relief maps for a closer view.
Blank map without names
The blank version keeps the mapped features and removes the place labels. Download it for a geography worksheet or practice identifying the features.
