Lake Erie Map
Lake Erie is a lake across Canada and the United States, covering about 25,700 km² (9,940 sq mi), with a maximum depth of 64 m (210 ft). This map shows the lake outlined in blue on shaded relief, with the rivers, borders and towns around it.

How to read this map
Its surface lies about 173 m (568 ft) above sea level. Inflows include Detroit River, Maumee River, Sandusky River, Ashtabula River, Black River, Conneaut Creek, Cuyahoga River and Huron River. It drains through the Niagara River. It lies in Michigan, Pennsylvania and New York.
The blue outline marks Lake Erie as mapped by Natural Earth. Towns and cities on the map include Toronto, Detroit, Cleveland, Buffalo, Rochester, Hamilton, Akron and Toledo. Labeled states and countries: Pennsylvania.
Greens show lower elevations; tan and brown show higher land, with pale tones toward the highest terrain. Shadows emphasize the slopes, and vertical relief is exaggerated so landforms are easier to read. Dashed lines show country borders, and fine dashed lines show state or province borders.
The relief uses Terrain Tiles (SRTM, GMTED2010 and ETOPO1 elevation data). Rivers, lakes, borders and the outline of Lake Erie come from Natural Earth, and the figures on this page from Wikidata. Natural Earth draws features at a small scale, so the outline is a guide to where Lake Erie is, not a surveyed boundary.
