Lake Tahoe Map
Lake Tahoe is a lake in the United States, covering about 502 km² (194 sq mi), with a maximum depth of 501 m (1,644 ft). This map shows the lake outlined in blue on shaded relief, with the rivers, borders and towns around it.

How to read this map
Its surface lies about 1,900 m (6,232 ft) above sea level. Inflows include Griff Creek, Meeks Creek, Trout Creek, Upper Truckee River, Blackwood Creek, Taylor Creek, Burton Creek and Incline Creek. It drains through the Truckee River. It lies in California and Nevada.
The blue outline marks Lake Tahoe as mapped by Natural Earth. Towns and cities on the map include Sacramento, Stockton, Reno and Carson City.
Greens show lower elevations; tan and brown show higher land, with pale tones toward the highest terrain. Shadows emphasize the slopes, and vertical relief is exaggerated so landforms are easier to read. Dashed lines show country borders, and fine dashed lines show state or province borders.
The relief uses Terrain Tiles (SRTM, GMTED2010 and ETOPO1 elevation data). Rivers, lakes, borders and the outline of Lake Tahoe come from Natural Earth, and the figures on this page from Wikidata. Natural Earth draws features at a small scale, so the outline is a guide to where Lake Tahoe is, not a surveyed boundary.
