Great Salt Lake Map
The Great Salt Lake is a lake in the United States, covering about 4,400 km² (1,700 sq mi), with a maximum depth of 11 m (35 ft). This map shows the lake outlined in blue on shaded relief, with the rivers, borders and towns around it.

How to read this map
Its surface lies about 1,283 m (4,209 ft) above sea level. Inflows include Jordan River, Bear River, Weber River and Deep Creek.
The blue outline marks the Great Salt Lake as mapped by Natural Earth. Towns and cities on the map include Salt Lake City, Ogden, Provo and Logan.
Greens show lower elevations; tan and brown show higher land, with pale tones toward the highest terrain. Shadows emphasize the slopes, and vertical relief is exaggerated so landforms are easier to read. Dashed lines show country borders, and fine dashed lines show state or province borders.
The relief uses Terrain Tiles (SRTM, GMTED2010 and ETOPO1 elevation data). Rivers, lakes, borders and the outline of the Great Salt Lake come from Natural Earth, and the figures on this page from Wikidata. Natural Earth draws features at a small scale, so the outline is a guide to where the Great Salt Lake is, not a surveyed boundary.
