Lake Peipus Map
Lake Peipus is a lake across Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Belarus, covering about 3,540 km² (1,370 sq mi), with a maximum depth of 8 m (26 ft). This map shows the lake outlined in blue on shaded relief, with the rivers, borders and towns around it.

How to read this map
Its surface lies about 30 m (98 ft) above sea level. Inflows include Emajõgi, Velikaya, Võhandu River, Zhelcha, Piusa River, Kullavere River, Rannapungerja River and Chyornaya. It drains through Narva. It is shared by Estonia, Russia, Latvia and Belarus.
The blue outline marks Lake Peipus as mapped by Natural Earth. Towns and cities on the map include Pskov, Tartu, Narva, Kohtla-Järve and Slantsy.
Greens show lower elevations; tan and brown show higher land, with pale tones toward the highest terrain. Shadows emphasize the slopes, and vertical relief is exaggerated so landforms are easier to read. Dashed lines show country borders, and fine dashed lines show state or province borders.
The relief uses Terrain Tiles (SRTM, GMTED2010 and ETOPO1 elevation data). Rivers, lakes, borders and the outline of Lake Peipus come from Natural Earth, and the figures on this page from Wikidata. Natural Earth draws features at a small scale, so the outline is a guide to where Lake Peipus is, not a surveyed boundary.
