Malay Archipelago Map
The Malay Archipelago is a group of islands across 7 countries in the Indian Ocean, covering about 2,000,000 km² (772,000 sq mi). This map shows the islands on shaded relief, with its relief, rivers and towns.

How to read this map
The map is centred on the Malay Archipelago. Towns and cities on the map include Kolkata, Manila, Jakarta, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Taipei, Bangkok and Chongqing. Labeled countries: Indonesia, Myanmar, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, Cambodia and Bangladesh.
Greens show lower elevations; tan and brown show higher land, with pale tones toward the highest terrain. Shadows emphasize the slopes, and vertical relief is exaggerated so landforms are easier to read. Dashed lines show country borders.
The relief uses Terrain Tiles (SRTM, GMTED2010 and ETOPO1 elevation data). Rivers, lakes, borders come from Natural Earth, and the figures on this page from Wikidata. These are small-scale educational maps, not navigation charts.

The blank version keeps the mapped features and removes the place labels. Download it for a geography worksheet or practice identifying the features.
